Package late or missing? Here’s the playbook
Every AliExpress order carries purchase protection with a countdown you can see on the order page. Inside that window, “item not received” is one of the cleanest refund cases the platform handles:
- Check the tracking first. If it moved recently, it’s slow, not lost. If nothing has scanned for 3+ weeks on a standard line, treat it as stuck.
- Message the seller. Good stores re-ship or refund without a fight; give them a couple of days to respond.
- Open a refund request (“Open dispute”) before protection expires. This is the step people miss. The countdown doesn’t pause while you wait politely, and once it lapses your leverage drops sharply. If the delivery date passes with no parcel, open the case; you can always cancel it if the doorbell rings.
